Schools can choose what they want to spend their grant upon but are accountable for ensuring that the Premium is spent appropriately. Both Department of Education and Ofsted have issued the mandatory requirement that schools must publish evidence online of their annual spend and impact.

Primary PE & Sport Funding 2019-2020

PE and Sport Premium for Primary Schools

In June, a £1 billion fund for education was announced by the government. Further guidance has now been released showing that the money is split between a catch-up premium and a national tutoring scheme.

The catch-up premium is funded on a per pupil basis at £80 per pupil. This will be based on the previous year’s census. The spending of this money will be down to schools to allocate as they see best. Please read the report below to see how the funding is being allocated at St Ursula’s.

The government collects schools' financial information in a consistent way so that the finances of schools can be compared. The consistent financial reporting (CFR) framework provides a standard template for schools to collect information about their income and expenditure. This information is used to support benchmarking and enables comparative reports to be produced for school governors and local authorities.

Our Employee's Pay

The government requires all schools to publish how many school employees (if any) have a gross annual salary of £100,000 or more in increments of £10,000.

  • Number of School employees with Gross annual income of £100,000 or more:  0
  • Number of School employees with an increment above £10,000: 0

Pupil premium funding is provided for the support of children who are eligible for free school meals (FSM) in both mainstream and non-mainstream settings, and children who have been looked after continuously for more than six months.  From 2012 this now also includes pupils eligible for FSM at any point in the last six years (known as the Ever 6 measure).  Pupils from service families are also eligible for another strand of Pupil Premium funding.

Schools are free to spend the Pupil Premium as they see fit.  However, we will be held accountable for how we have used the additional funding to support pupils from low income families.  Some of this funding may be used to replace funding for activities where finance has been cut.  We are required to publish online information about how we have used Pupil Premium.  This is to ensure that parents are others are made aware of the attainment of pupils covered by the Premium and the extra support they receive.
