Home Schooling

In the event of a school closure, we have created online classrooms where parents and pupils may access work. Links to homework pages and useful websites will also be provided. This work has been collated by your child’s class teacher and will ensure that your child is still learning the curriculum skills that would be taught in class.

Each year group will have a selection of activities that should be completed by all pupils.

Expectation of work completed for Junior School pupils:

  • 1 Maths task per day
  • 1 English Task per day
  • 1 CLC topic homework task per week
  • 10 minutes Xtables revision per day
  • 10 minute reading per day
  • Usual homework tasks across the week

Infant School pupils:

Please follow the suggested timetables and allow time for your children to continue to learn through play.

We have included the suggested timetables as a guide because it is essential during these uncertain times that children continue to follow a routine, which includes enforcing appropriate bedtimes.

Please ensure that your child has access to a computer or tablet at home. If this is not possible please let us know so that we can make arrangement that will allow your child to complete the same work as others.

St Ursula’s Catholic Federation will only close if advised to by the Government or if we do not have enough staff to run the school.
